Terms of Service
Last updated 28 August 2026. Applies to the Jyn early access service at jyn.gg.
These terms are the agreement between you and Jyn. They are written to be read, not skimmed past. If something here is unclear, write to support@jyn.gg and we will explain it.
1. What Jyn is
Jyn watches the streams on channels you connect, finds moments worth clipping, makes clips, and — under rules you set — posts them to destinations you connect. It also keeps a record of everything it did and why, which you can read at any time.
Jyn is in early access. Features change, and some of what the product will eventually do is not built yet. We will not describe an unbuilt capability as a working one.
2. Your account
You need to be 18 or older to use Jyn, and you confirm that when you sign up. You sign in with a passkey; there is no password. Keep your recovery codes somewhere safe — if you lose both your passkey and your codes, we cannot recover the account for you.
You may add other people to your channel as reviewers. You are responsible for what the people you add do with the access you gave them, and you can remove that access at any time.
3. Connecting your accounts, and what you authorize
To do its job Jyn needs access to the accounts you connect. When you connect Twitch, you authorize Jyn to receive your stream and chat activity. When you connect YouTube, you authorize Jyn to upload videos to your channel, change their privacy, read their statistics, and delete them.
What Jyn may do on its own is your decision, not ours. Every channel starts in review mode, where nothing is posted publicly until you approve the exact clip you were shown. Unattended posting ("Autopilot") is a separate choice you make per channel, after the requirements for it are met, and you can switch it off at any time.
You can disconnect any account at any time, from the app or from the platform's own settings. Disconnecting stops Jyn from acting on that account. See the privacy policy for what happens to the data afterwards.
4. YouTube
Jyn uses YouTube API Services. By using Jyn you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
You are the uploader. Content Jyn posts to your YouTube channel is published under your account and must comply with the YouTube Terms of Service and the YouTube Community Guidelines, exactly as if you had uploaded it yourself.
You can revoke Jyn's access to your Google account at any time at Google's security settings page.
5. Your content is yours
Your streams, your clips, and your posts remain yours. You give us permission to process them only so far as it takes to run the service for you: to find moments, make clips, post what you approved, check that a post is live, and keep the record of what happened. We do not sell your data, and we do not hand it to anyone else to train their models on.
You are responsible for having the rights to what you stream and to what gets posted from it — including music, game content, and anything a guest or a viewer contributed.
6. What you agree not to do
- Use Jyn to post content that breaks the rules of the platform it goes to.
- Connect an account you are not authorized to operate.
- Use Jyn to harass, impersonate, or expose private information about anyone, including your viewers.
- Try to get around the limits on what your channel's rules allow, or the checks that decide whether something can post unattended.
- Attack, overload, or attempt to break into the service.
7. When Jyn holds something back
Jyn will refuse to post a clip when its checks do not pass, when it is not certain enough, or when your rules say no. That is the product working, not failing. It will tell you what it held and why. We may also stop posting on a channel to protect you, your viewers, or the accounts involved — and if we do, we will tell you.
8. Taking things down
You can take down any post Jyn made, from the app. Jyn removes it from the destination and then verifies it is actually gone rather than reporting the request as if it were the result. Complaints about a post — from you, from a viewer, or from the platform — stop the clip and its whole lineage from being posted again until you release it.
9. Price
Early access is free. There is no paid tier yet. If we introduce one, we will tell you what it costs before it applies to you, and you will not be charged for anything you did not agree to.
10. Ending it
You can stop using Jyn whenever you like: disconnect your accounts, or delete your account from the app. Deleting your account is described in the privacy policy, including what is deleted, what takes time to remove, and the narrow categories we keep.
We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, that puts a connected platform's terms at risk, or that we are legally required to act on. Except where an immediate stop is necessary, we will tell you first.
11. No warranty, and the limits of what we owe you
Jyn is provided as it is, during early access, without a warranty of any kind. It depends on services we do not control — Twitch, YouTube, and the providers behind them — and those can change or fail. We are not liable for lost views, lost revenue, lost opportunities, or indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
12. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app and date the change at the top of this page. Continuing to use Jyn after that means the new terms apply.
13. Who you are contracting with
Jyn is operated from Colorado, United States, by its founder doing business as Jyn. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, and any dispute about them is brought in the state or federal courts located in Colorado. When Jyn becomes a registered company, that company takes over these terms; the change will be dated at the top of this page and notified to early access users. If any of this matters to your decision to use the early access service, write to support@jyn.gg before you connect an account.
